Final Press Release from the Chvaletice 95 Fair

Demonstration fairs have only a short-term tradition , but the possibility to see a machine in real conditions of working environment is a philosophy that gains more and more specialist public throughout the whole Europe. To seize the opportunity is one thing, but to develop one's own conceptual framework and bring it into effect is another thing. Preparations for the EXPO Chvaletice 95, the first Demonstration fair, took less than four months. 38 exhibitors from different branches of mining and mineral resources processing industry presented their products on 2800 square metres. 3000 visitors not only from the Czech Republic voted for performance of such happening and its further continuance.

Final Press Release from the EXPO Brno - Lesní lom 2000 Fair

The third year of the EXPO Brno - Lesní lom 2000 fair took place on June 14. - 16, 2000 for the first time in the area of Hády pit, located on the eastern outskirts of Brno. The lime-pit , which is contemporarily closed and whose exploitation was interrupted a long time ago, was chosen on grounds of an increased interest in a fair on the part of both the exhibitors and the visitors. The area is bigger and there is an option of rear area of a big town located nearby.

The motto of the fair "Lively and Currently" was fully completed, as nearly 50% of the exhibitors presented their machines and appliances in operation. The EXPO fair is unique in central and eastern Europe in presenting machinery in operation, where one can compare individual machines of competitive companies in one place. In the pit area, where the exposition took place on three storeys and at three separated showplaces, a hundred domestic and foreign companies presented their products and services.

The fair was focused on six branches:

  • Technology and instruments for raw ore formation (drills, air pumps, demolition hammers, explosives, etc.)
  • Logging, loading and transportation technology (dredgers, traxcavators, dumpers, etc.)
  • Instruments and technology for mineral resources processing (stone crushers, screens, feeding machines, conveyor belts, transmitters, scales, etc.)
  • Machinery and equipment for recycling of construction materials (crushing and sorting units, separators, etc.)
  • Machinery for ecological running of extractive concerns (dust-removing plants, sewerage plants, noise elimination machines, pollutant identification, etc.)
  • Service and accompanying activities (geological and geodetic works, sanitation and reclamation, blasting operations, consultancy services, marketing, protective means, designing work, etc.)

The highlight of the fair was a presentation of luxurious off-road vehicles with the possibility to be tested personally by visitors.

Despite the fact that the fair was determined mainly to professional public, the total number of visitors for the three days reached nearly 9000. Major part of the visitors were specialists from Equipment Industry and Processing Industry, other visitors were students of high schools and universities of civil engineering, mechanical, mining and stone-cutting faculties from the whole country. Most foreign visitors came from Slovakia, Poland, Slovenia and Croatia. Journalists from all thematic and specialist magazines issued in the Czech Republic and Slovakia visited the fair, too. Some publishing houses even had their own stand at the fair. Representatives of Czech daily press also took part.

Since the 2000 Lesní lom fair in Brno - Líšeň proved good, the same location was chosen for the 4th year of International Demonstration Fair of Machinery and Machinery for Extractive Industry, Cleaning Industry and Civil Engineering under the name EXPO Brno - Lesní lom 2002 on June 18-21, 2002.

The quarry was large and spacious enough, so it was not necessary to limit the exhibitors in exposition size or number of exhibits. Exhibitors appreciated the increasing significance of the fair, they increased their exhibition area (approx. 25 000 m2) and brought much more exhibits. Comparing to last years, more machines were in operation. Visitors -clients could see the abilities of the machines in longer time intervals in two sections (approx. 20 000 and 30 000 m2 of aggregate). The number of exhibitors showing trucks and lorries presented in severe terrain, increased in comparison with last year. An exclusive participation of Companies from Sdružení dovozců stavebních strojů (Association of importers of construction machines) was also important. This fair became one of the most prestigious European presentations of extractive industry.
