
Těžební unie in co-operation with the Czech Chamber of Architects announced the fourth year of the competitive show for the best project of mining area revitalisation (re-cultivation, re-naturalisation, redevelopment) under the title "Zelený most/Green Bridge".
The regulations and aims of the competition did not change, but it is not wrong to repeat them all.
The subject of the competition includes projects for any type of re-cultivation of surface winning areas, that have already been started, that are under realisation or that have already been finished in the territory of the Czech Republic.

Prize for the winner
The main prize „Zelený most/Green Bridge" will be awarded for the generally best solution of exploitation space. The main prize is connected with the financial remuneration of CZK 50 000 that will be granted to the project author(s). The winning memorial plaque will be awarded to the representatives of the mining company.
The winners and representatives of relevant mining companies will be awarded with winning memorial plaques.
Terms
Announcement of the competition show: 25th November 2010
Applications deadline: 30th June 2011 at 5:00 p.m. (all the parts of the competitive project must be delivered to the office of Těžební unie, Slavíčkova 827/1a, 638 00 Brno in person or by courier service).
The results of the competition will be published on 10th November 2011.
Competition materials
The competition terms and the registration form for the competition will be available in the headquarters of Těžební unie and they will be sent to the interested parties on request.
Required parts of a registered project
Text section:
The intention of the area re-cultivation, description, realisation, target status and consequent management, economic demands of the project (maximal extent 3 standard pages).
- general area solution in corresponding scale;
- photographic documentation (3 - 6 photographs or drawings in photographs of any size);
- free presentation: perspective views, details, text parts, etc. in any number.
The image section will be passed on a presentation panel of the A1 size (for example Kappa board, Forex, and others).
Digital section:
For the purpose of digital presentation, the CD/DVD carrier will include image files of individual images of the competition panel in the JPG form, each of them with resolution 300 DPI for the A5 size. The accompanying report and descriptions will be – for the purposes of further publication – in the form of simple text (without graphic symbols) in the form of RTF, DOC or TXT files.
It is not allowed to provide the CD for A1 panel in one image.

Conditions for participation
The competition participants can be natural persons or legal entities, providing in pre-set term to the office of Těžební unie the filled-in registration form, required text and image sections in printed and digital form. In case of the applicant not to be the author of the project, it is necessary for the competitive proposal to include the author(s) name(s) and the registration form must include his/her/their consent with participation.
Excluded from the competition show are the persons- who directly participated in processing and development of competitive terms and conditions and in announcement of the competition show,
- who are members of the competition jury, expert witnesses invited by the competition jury or supporting authorities of the competition jury,
- who are spouses, relatives, related by marriage on the first level, direct chiefs or mates of excluded persons.
Other arrangements
Těžební unie reserves the right to publish, disclose and exhibit selected projects while strictly following the copyright law. By presentation of the competition work, filling in and signing the registration form and by fulfilment of all and any terms and conditions required in participation terms, the authors express their consent with all and any conditions and the jury resolution. The jury will follow the Proceeding Rules approved by all the members of the jury and by the competition announcer.
The results of the competition will also be published in a catalogue, presenting all the registered works except for those expressly refused by the jury.
